Hi all, I'm not sure how the following applies to IS40 and other models but it can't be too different. 1. On the i2/i3 the damper and assignable pedals all use stereo jacks. The ring and sleeve is zero volts, the tip is active. Connect one side of the switch to both ring and sleeve, the other side of the switch to the tip. 2. The EC5 pedal uses a 6-pin DIN type connector. The pin assignments are pin function 1 switch 1 2 switch 2 3 zero volts (common to all switches) 4 switch 4 5 switch 5 6 switch 3 Socket on i2/i3 - / \ 5 /o o\ 1 | o | 4 \o o/ 2 \ o / - 3 pin 6 is in the centre. Note - I'm not sure if this is drawn looking from front or rear of socket. At least pin 3 is easy to spot. Connect as: / 1 o---------/ o----+ sw 1 | / | 2 o---------/ o----+ sw 2 | / | 6 o---------/ o----+ sw 3 | / | 4 o---------/ o----+ sw 4 | / | 5 o---------/ o----+ sw 5 | | 3 o-----------------+ Hope the ASCII pics look OK. Regards Peter
