REMOVING NOTES FROM A PATTERN OR STYLE TRACK -------------------------------------------- (This is particularly useful when creating drum of percussion patterns or STYLE tracks) You can remove unwanted notes from any STYLE track (whether in Pattern recording or just real-time track recording). Example: Let's assume you have created a 4 bar drum pattern for a new style - let's assume it is pattern 95. You decide that the pattern has a "whistle" sound in bar 3 that you want to remove (Whistle is note C5 on the i30). To remove it - here's what you do:- 1. Go into STYLE EDIT MODE 2. Select the STYLE track (Drums) 3. Press Menu button and select "Patterns" 4. Select pattern 95 5. Press "Rec/Write" button and press "Start" (as if you were going to record some more) 6. BEFORE playing any notes put a "check or tick" in the "Remove data" check box on the screen. 7. Watch the bar counter and when it gets to bar 3 hold down the C5 note for as long as you want it removed 8. Always make sure you save your work to disk etc..... You can perform the above for any note in any track in any STYLE recording (doesn't have to be a pattern!!) (Note: also works for SONG MODE patterns) Cheers Pete
